Mig-21 fighter aircraft crashes, pilot killed

SRINAGAR (CIHAN)- A MiG-21 fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force (IAF) crashed in the Bijbehara region in the Anantnag district of Kashmir on Tuesday morning, killing the pilot, said Kashmir Zone Inspector General of Police, Abdul Gani Mir.

The IGP added that no civil casualty took place during the accident.

The accident took place when the fighter plane was on a routine training sortie crashed in open filed at Mirhama in Bijbehara area. The pilot has been identified as Raghu Bansi.

A team of IAF officials have rushed to the spot.
