Mehriban Aliyeva extends condolences to French president and people

Baku: President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, First Lady of Azerbaijan, chairman of the Azerbaijan-France friendship group Mehriban Aliyeva has sent a letter of condolences to President of France François Hollande and to the French people in connection with the numerous human casualties caused by the Paris terrorist attacks.

The Heydar Aliyev Foundation told APA that Mehriban Aliyeva’s letter reads as follows:

“I’m stricken by the news of the death of a large number of people in the Paris terrorist attacks. Targeting democratic values, citizens’ rights and freedoms, especially innocent people, terrorism is a crime against humanity. Over such a tragedy, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the families of the casualties and to the entire people of France, and I wish speedy recovery for the injured,” says the letter.
