Man arrested on murdering his mother in Yevlakh

A man who is accused of murdering his mother and then burying her in the lavatory in Yevlakh district, has been arrested.

37-year-old Mingachevir resident Musa Nasirov murdered his mother Ofeliya Abdullayeva in September because of dispute, the local police told APA.

The police didn’t receive any information on the woman’s missing and death. Three days ago, Nasirov’s wife Ulkar Nasirova, who was beat by him, filed a complaint to Yevlakh District Police Department together with her two children. The woman, in her appeal, mentioned that her mother-in-law went missing two months ago and her husband had her identity and pension cards.

While investigating the fact, the police revealed that Nasirov murdered his mother, then buried her in the old lavatory in their yard.

According to the information obtained by APA, Ofeliya Abdullayeva, after her first husband’s death, fled the district with another man leaving her minor children. Years later, the woman, who lost her second husband as well, moved to the house of her son from her ex-husband in August, 2015 taking her legacy.

Abdullayev had 10 children. The police didn’t receive any information on her missing.

Investigation is underway on the fact.
