Khalaf Khalafov receives UK-Azerbaijan Interparliamentary Friendship Group’s members

Baku: Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Khalaf Khalafov has received a delegation led by member of the House of Commons of the UK Parliament Christopher Pincher, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan.

During the meeting, Khalaf Khalafov said Azerbaijan attaches great importance to the interparliamentary relations, and praised the UK-Azerbaijan Interparliamentary Friendship Group’s visit to our country in this regard. The Deputy FM also stressed that the visit will contribute to developing relations between the two countries, the Foreign Ministry told APA.

Noting that the main direction of Azerbaijan’s foreign policy is to liberate the occupied lands, Khalaf Khalafov gave detailed information regarding many-branched activities that are carried out in this direction. He also underlined that world countries, especially the co-chairing countries must hold a just position on Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity.

Chairman of the UK-Azerbaijan Interparliamentary Friendship Group Christopher Pincher related the group’s expanded character to their great interest in Azerbaijan. The British visitors said they were impressed by Azerbaijan’s development and regarded the religious tolerance in the country as a model.
