France observes moment of silence for memory of Paris victims

A moment of silence was observed across France for the memory of 129 victims, who were killed in terrorist attack in Paris on Nov. 13-14, on Monday.

In the capital city of Paris, the people gathering at the squares of all cities joined the commemoration. President François Hollande also participated in a moment of silence at the Sorbonne University yard. According to local agencies that Hollande preferred the university yard since most of the victims were students, young teachers and teenagers.

Meanwhile, thousands of people, gathered in Republique Square, which holds the center of commemoration activities, lighted candles and left flowers at the scene. Reportedly, many of people were seen to could barely overpower their tears.

Following a moment of silence, the commemoration ended up with reciting France national anthem.
