Four arrested, three released in Usak operation

Four out of seven people who were detained by the police in charge of being linked to “parallel state” were arrested while the rest were released by the court in Turkish western province of Usak on early Friday.

On Tuesday, upon the order of the Usak Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, police officers from the Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Bureau of the Usak Police Department raided four offices and six houses at around 6 a.m., detaining seven people.

The interrogation of the detainees at the Usak Police Department lasted for three days. After the process, they were sent to the court, which decided arrest of four and released remaining three.

Lawyer Hakan Duru stated that there was no reason for arrest of the four people, the court did not read statements of any of the detainees and gave their decision according to report of the police interrogation.
