Europe Azerbaijan school pupils win gold medals in int’l Olympiad

Baku: From November 2 to 8, the Turkish city of Antalya hosted the 7th International Knowledge Olympiad of pupils and college students, the European Azerbaijan Society (TEAS) told APA.

The Olympiad was joined by more than 300 pupils representing over 30 schools in more than 10 countries including Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, and Kazakhstan.

Azerbaijan was represented by five schools: the European Azerbaijan School, Modern Education Complex named after Heydar Aliyev, Lyceum named after Academician Zarifa Aliyeva, Baku Modern School and the 21st Century International Education and Innovation Centre.

12 pupils from the European Azerbaijan School participated in the Olympiad.

Pupils of the European Azerbaijan School returned with a total of 28 medals – 9 gold medals, 7 silver, and 12 bronze. Also, they have won two cups, by taking the first place in a team competition on the English language and third place on Geography.

Note that, the European Azerbaijan School was founded by TEAS in 2011 and is a modern educational operating under the world’s most advanced education standards on the basis of local and international curriculum. In 2013, TEAS became a member of the European Council of International Schools (ECIS), one of the world’s largest organizations specializing in primary and secondary education.
