Curfew imposed in 9 neighborhoods of Lice

A curfew has been imposed nine neighborhoods of the southeastern town of Lice.
The Diyarbakir Governorandrsquos Office said in a statement on Thursday that a curfew was declared in the andOrtandulandu, Arpacik, Sivritepe, Bilgin, Sailik, Bayirli, Seyrek, Silkito and KandOrha neighborhoods as of 5 p.m. due to planned police operations against the terrorist Kurdistan Workersandrsquo Party (PKK) in these neighborhoods.
Authorities have declared a temporary curfew in several towns across the region of Southeastern Anatolia as the fight against the PKK has expanded to include militants in urban areas.
