CHP pays condolence visit to French Embassy leaving ‘129 carnations’

Republican People’s Party (CHP) members paid a condolence visit to French embassy and left 129 carnations in front of there for the memory of 129 victims, who were killed in Paris on Nov. 13, in Ankara on Monday.

CHP Ankara youth branch paid a condolence visit to the French embassy in Ankara. CHP deputy leader Sezgin Tanrikulu, CHP Ankara Deputy Aylin Nazliaka and CHP Ankara provincial head Adnan Keskin were among the participants during the visit. The group gathering in front of the embassy unfurled a banner written ‘Our sorrow is the same! No matter the different places and times’ on it.

Pointing out the terrorist attack, which occurred in Ankara on Oct. 10, Chairman of CHP Ankara youth branch Umut Eraslan said that the bloody hands, of whom killed many of people have the same mentality as in Ankara, and, “Today we are here to share the sorrow of people in Paris. We stand with them and we brought 129 carnations here for the memory of victims of Paris attack. Today, Turkey is the most sensitive nation in sharing the deep sorrow of French nation,” added Eraslan.

Following the speech, members of the group left carnations at the scene. Tanrikulu, Aka and some of the party members entered the embassy building for paying condolence visit.
