Body of 12-year-old found in Kutahya

Locals notified the gendarmerie and the Prime Ministry’s Disaster and Emergency Management Directorate (AFAD) after spotting Halil Bulut’s body tied to a pole close to the village of Egirler in Kutahya province. Gendarmes closed the crime scene as a prosecutor examined it.

The body was taken to a morgue at a state hospital in Simav where it was identified as Bulut. The Council of Forensic Medicine (ATK) in Ankara will preform an autopsy.

According to an official announcement on Monday, the Kutahya Gendarmerie Command has launched an investigation into the killing. In addition, three children who are believed to be the same age as Bulut were arrested for their alleged involvement in the murder, stemming from a purported animosity between them and Bulut.
