Blast in Nusaybin kills 1, injures 20

An explosion in a store in the southeastern town of Nusaybin on Sunday evening caused one death with 20 others injured, mainly from the smoke resulting from the blast.
According to media reports, it is not yet known what caused the explosion in the store, which is located on Sakarya Street in the Selahaddin Eyyubi neighborhood of Nusaybin, although one suggested explanation is that a faulty power convertor was to blame.
Seven of the 20 people injured were taken to Nusaybin State Hospital. The injured were later transferred to state hospitals in Mardin and Diyarbakir. The body of the person who died was found with burns in a car parked across the street from the store.
