Baku hosting 5th Education UK Exhibition

Baku: Baku is hosting the 5th Education UK Exhibition.

APA reports that the exhibition is organized by the British Council Azerbaijan. The opening ceremony was attended by representative of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Education Nijat Musayev, representative of the UK Embassy Neville Baldwin, British Council Azerbaijan Director, Elizabeth White, as well as business organizations, representatives of universities and young people.

Elizabeth White spoke about the ways to develop the education relations between Azerbaijan and the UK.

The Embassy representative Neville Baldwin conveyed the greetings of the ambassador to the exhibition visitors. He said that about 30 universities attend the exhibition. Seven of them are represented for the first time via their representatives.

Expressing gratitude to the Azerbaijani Ministry of Education for the support, Baldwin said that nearly 5,000 British students have been studying in Azerbaijan in the last 10 years. According to him, 800 Azerbaijani students are studying at the UK universities.

“This is an indication of the growing ties”, Baldwin added.

The 5th Education UK Exhibition will last tomorrow too. Along with the half of top 30 UK universities, colleges, schools and language course are being represented in the exhibition.

Advice on education planning, proper choice of specialty, education, prospects of practice, as well as visa and accommodation will be available for the exhibition visitors.

Furthermore, education and career seminars are planned to be organized by the university representatives.
