Bad blood brewing between van Persie and coach Pereira?

Fenerbahandceand’s Dutch striker Robin van Persie is not a very happy man in Istanbul according to sports daily Fotomaandc.
Not that the Dutchman is unhappy with this city that spreads across two continents or with the beloved Fener club itself. He is indeed unhappy with Portuguese coach Vitor Pereira.
Being substituted frequently by Pereira has left van Persie flabbergasted, the sports daily said. The Dutch striker has started but not finished in the last three consecutive matches for Fenerbahandce. And the saddest thing is that van Persie has not only been substituted in all three matches, he is also the first on the team to be replaced by the coach.
The Dutchman was substituted in the 72nd minute by co-Brazilian striker Jose Fernandao in the UEFA Europa League group game against Ajax Amsterdam in Istanbul. And as fate would have it, super-sub Fernandao scored a last-gasp goal that gave Fener the slim 1-0 victory.
Van Persie was again substituted in the and”mother of all derbiesand” against archrival Galatasaray in KadikandOy by Fernandao in the 63rd minute with Fenerbahandce leading 1-0. This time around, Fenerbahandce conceded a late equalizer with the Dutch striker sitting on the bench.
Apart from the untimely early substitution of injured Liverpool loanie Lazar Markovic with Fernandao in the very recent match against newcomer Osmanlispor, van Persie was the first Fener player to be taken off the pitch in the 72nd. Portugal midfielder Raul Meireles was brought to fill the vacuum created by his exit. Fener won 1-0.
And earlier in week four this season, van Persie was the first to be substituted in the Kasimpaia-Fenerbahandce match that the Yellow Canaries won 1-0.
Van Persieand’s replacement during the week 10 league clash against Osmanlispor on Thursday may have been the last straw. Pereira hugged the Dutchman as he walked off the pitch after his substitution in an ostentatious display of solidarity, but that did not conceal the bad blood between the player and his coach.
h2 andlsquoAm I the bad apple?and’h2 Fotomaandc reported van Persie had complained bitterly in the dressing room. and”Why is it that I am always the first to be substituted? Am I the one [bad apple] who ruins this team? And do things get better when I am replaced?and” the Dutch player was quoted as saying.
Is Pereira right or wrong in the row with van Persie? Your guess is as good as mine. But the truth is that the Dutch striker had already fallen off the pedestal and was in very poor form by the time he joined Fenerbahandce this season.
Van Persie has struggled throughout his career with injury but in his final season at Arsenal and first season at Manchester United he appeared fit as a fiddle and unimpeded by fitness concerns. Under United manager Louis van Gaal, though, he was back in the cluband’s infirmary.
The striker was van Gaaland’s Netherlands captain during the 2014 World Cup and was expected to assume a senior role upon the coachand’s arrival at United, but instead gradually became more and more marginalized.
Van Persieand’s injury problems hit his United career hard and van Gaal was unable to inspire a resurgence. And that may be the reason the manager happily let van Persie join Fenerbahandce.
Van Persieand’s decline became even more evident when was stripped of the Netherlands captaincy by new coach Danny Blind and was involved in a training ground scuffle with young talent Memphis Depay, as frustration from a dire Euro 2016 qualifying campaign bubbled over.
The Dutch finally came down to earth with a stinging bump, after failing to even make the Euro 2016 playoff, and dragged van Persie down along with them.
