Azerbaijan`s Muradli wins World Chess Championships

Azerbaijan`s Mahammad Muradli has won the World Youth and Cadets Chess Championships 2015 in Halkidiki, Greece.

Azerbaijan also ranked 4th among 92 countries in the overall medal table.

The tournament brought together about 1500 chess players from 92 countries.

The players from India dominated the event, winning as many as 11 medals, among them 5 gold. Russia and the USA took four medals each, but none of them was gold. Iran, Bulgaria, Azerbaijan, Germany, Greece, Uzbekistan and Vietnam have one gold medal each.
