Azerbaijan’s election held under democratic conditions – MP

Baku: The Nov.1 parliamentary election in Azerbaijan has been held under democratic conditions, Franz Obermayr, a member of the European Parliament from Austria, told reporters in Baku on Monday.

The voting process was very transparent, the MEP said, noting that no law violations were observed during the voting process.

Obermayr said that he observed the elections in Azerbaijan for the first time and met with PEC heads, heads of political parties and observers during the election process.

He went on to add that the use of invisible ink in the election process was a major innovation he has observed so far.
