Azerbaijani president telephones Turkish counterpart

Baku: Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev had a telephone conversation with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Nov.2.

The Azerbaijani president congratulated Erdogan over an overwhelming victory of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) in the parliamentary election held in Turkey on Nov.1. President Ilham Aliyev wished the Turkish president success and the brotherly Turkish people stability and welfare.

Erdogan thanked the Azerbaijani counterpart for attention and congratulations, and in turn, congratulated President Ilham Aliyev over a confident victory of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) in the parliamentary election held in Azerbaijan on Nov.1. The Turkish president wished Ilham Aliyev success and the Azerbaijani people prosperity.

The heads of state also expressed confidence for the further development of friendly and fraternal ties between the two countries in all areas.
