Azerbaijani President receives a delegation led by Turkish FM

Baku: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, Ahmet Davutoglu, APA reports quoting AzerTAc.

Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu conveyed greetings on behalf of Turkish President Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

The head of state stressed the importance of the forthcoming meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Turkey, Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan in a new format, and expressed his confidence that the meeting would produce a positive outcome. President Ilham Aliyev said that meetings at the level of Foreign Ministers represented an effective format for the discussion of issues related to the further expansion of cooperation between the two countries in various areas, including political, economic and other spheres.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey Ahmet Davutoglu emphasized he importance of the new format of cooperation Turkey-Azerbaijan-Iran, Turkey-Azerbaijan-Georgia, and Turkey-Azerbaijan-Turkmenistan, which is being realized on the initiative of our countries.

The head of state expressed his gratitude for the greetings from Turkish President Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and asked the minister to communicate his greetings to the President and Prime Minister of Turkey.
