Azerbaijani Army’s high morale frightens Armenia – defense minister

Baku: The Azerbaijani Army is developing rapidly thanks to the attention, care and leadership of the country’s President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, and great strides were made in all directions, the country’s Defense Minister Colonel General Zakir Hasanov said, the Defense Ministry told APA.

The defense minister made the remarks on Monday during the event held at one of the frontal military units on the occasion of National Flag Day.

Armenian army has recently suffered heavy losses as a result of preventive measures taken by Azerbaijani armed forces, and currently, the enemy is in a deep moral crisis, Hasanov said.

“Azerbaijani army’s high morale frightens Armenian soldiers, they are in panic,” the defense minister stressed.

“Today, we have checked the Azerbaijani soldiers’ combat readiness on the frontline, and once again been assured that they are able and fully ready to liberate our occupied territories,” Hasanov added.

The minister further said that the Azerbaijani army is regularly provided with up-to-date weapons, armored vehicles and military equipment, and new military units and residential buildings for military officers are commissioned. “All this allows us to raise our just voice and show the enemy our strong military power in the short run,” he said.

“I would like to emphasize that the battle flag presented by the president reflects the symbols of the national flag,” Hasanov said, noting that Azerbaijani soldiers will spare no efforts to hoist their battle flags in the occupied lands, Hasanov said.
