Azerbaijan sends aid to Serbia where floods occurred

Baku: Azerbaijani Ministry of Emergency Situations has sent aid to Serbia where floods occurred.

APA told that today the first airplane loaded with aid leaved for Serbia. The employees of the Serbian Embassy in Azerbaijan also attended the seeing off ceremony.

Chief of the Emergency Ministry’s Materiel and Technical Support Department Amal Teymurov told journalists that the aid was sent under the task of President Ilham Aliyev. “The airplane loaded with aid will leave for Bosnia and Herzegovina in the evening. The aid consists of different equipment, motor boats of various sizes, 260 tents, blankets, power generators, water pumps and etc.”, he said.

The airplane will land in Belgrade in the evening and the employees of the Emergency Ministry and Azerbaijani Embassy will hand over the aid to relevant authorities of Serbia.
