Azerbaijan ready to do its utmost to eliminate tension between Turkey, Russia

Baku: Azerbaijan stands ready to do its utmost to eliminate the tension between Turkey and Russia, Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament Ogtay Asadov said at a meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu in Baku Nov.27.

Asadov congratulated Cavusoglu on the occasion of the formation of a new government in Turkey.

The Turkish FM in turn expressed gratitude to Asadov for this position of Azerbaijan.

Turkey acted in accordance with international law, according to FM.

Cavusoglu went on to add that Turkey is against the escalation of tension and hopes the problem will be solved through diplomatic channels.

“We expect the same position from Russia too. We are confident that the tension will be eased soon,” he said.
