Around 11 min pills of drug seized by police in southern Turkey

Security forces seized around 11 million pills of illegal drug in the southern province of Hatay on Friday, in what is the largest narcotics operation in recent years.

The operation was conducted by the Hatay Police Department’s Narcotics Unit in the city center at a store house. Officers found the drug hidden in the air filters. 10,626,000 pills were reportedly to be sent to abroad. According to a written statement released by the Hatay Governor’s Office, police detained two people, one of whom is a Syrian national, as part of the operation.
