Armenia refuses to attend Global Forum on Youth Policies in Azerbaijan

Baku: “Armenia will not attend the Global Forum on Youth Policies that will be held in Baku tomorrow”, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Intigam Babayev said at a press conference today, APA reports.

According to him, Armenia was invited to the event.

“As the event is organized by the UN, it invites countries to the event. The UN invited 194 countries, including Armenia. 156 countries will participate in the event. Armenia is among the countries that won’t attend the event”, he said

The deputy minister also mentioned that United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon will not attend the Forum either.

He said that the UN’s schedule is a bit busy regarding Ebola and other problems. “However, the UN Secretary-General will address the forum attendees via video. The UN representatives will also attend the forum as well”, Intigam Babayev said.
