Antalya piano festival to shake off somber mood in G-20 city

The annual art fair Contemporary Istanbul (Ci) wrapped up its landmark 10th edition with record admission numbers, its organizers announced on Monday.
The fair was seen by 84,000 art lovers and connoisseurs over five days, which also included an invitation-only preview on Nov. 11.
The fair showcased art worth TL 194 million across its two halls, according to Mondayand’s press release. Sixty-four percent of the pieces on display were sold, Ali Gandureli, Ci chairman, was quoted in the press release.
Among the most noteworthy pieces were and”Untitledand” by Greek artist Jannis Kounellis, which sold for 1,400,000 euros and a Banksy stencil, and”Kissing Coppers,and” which was on display at UKand’s Lazarides gallery booth, that sold for 500,000 pounds, according to the press release.
They were among more than 700 pieces of artwork, ranging from sculptures to paintings and new media art, displayed on a 16,600 square meter exhibit area across two venues in the Harbiye neighborhood — the Landutfi Kirdar International Convention and Exhibition Center and the Istanbul Congress Center.
One-hundred-and-two art galleries from 24 countries took part in the 2015 fair, whose focus was art from the Iranian capital in its guest country section, and”Contemporary Tehran.and”
