Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries on World Fisheries Day marquee structure collapse

During the World Fisheries Day event at Humansdorp in the Eastern Cape, two marquee structures collapsed. It is not clear what led to this incident. Government will investigate what led to this matter.

Thirteen people, including 9 school kids sustained minor injuries and were treated at the local hospital.

Minister Senzeni Zokwana and MEC Mlibo Qoboshiyane, who addressed the masses that gathered at the local stadium, apologised to locals.

Minister and MEC visited the children who were treated at the local hospitals outpatient section. All the injured have already been discharged.
