40 detained in an operation conducted in 18 provinces

At least 40 people were detained in an Izmir based operation conducted 18 different Turkish provinces on Tuesday. Operation was conducted by the directorate of anti-smuggling and organized crime branch upon the instruction of Izmir chief public prosecutor’s office.

Reportedly Izmir Former Police Department Director A.B, Former Deputy Police Department M.A.S., Former Director of Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Branch T.A.,M.K., Central Governor A.K, M.O. and S.A and Civil Service Inspector F.İ among the detainees. There has not been made any explanation on the reason of the operation.
