14 people testify before prosecutor over insulting President ErdoIan

A total of 14 people in Kocaeli province, including the Democratic Left Party (DSP) provincial chairman, testified before a prosecutor on Sunday over charges of insulting President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
According to the Dogan news agency, 14 people, including DSP Kocaeli provincial chairman Hayati andOzzeren, testified before a prosecutor as part of an investigation that was launched nine months ago over accusations of insulting Erdogan during a protest. andOzzeren and 13 others are accused of chanting slogans at the event that insulted Erdogan.
andOzzeren told Dogan that they learned about the investigation when they received a letter from the prosecutorand’s office calling them to testify. All 14 people were free to go pending trial after giving their testimony. andOzzeren said their trial would begin next month at the Kocaeli 8th Penal Court of First Instance. He also underlined that his lawyers have not yet received the indictment.
