12 Turkish films compete for Golden Orange statuettes in Antalya

Twelve domestic productions will be vying for Golden Orange awards in the national feature competition of this yearand’s 52nd Antalya International Film Festival, organizers announced on Friday.
There are three world premieres and two Turkish premieres among the selection, which also includes one documentary feature and two debut features, the festivaland’s press office said in a news release.
and”Arama Motoruand” (The Search Engine), a comedy-drama by and”Mommo: The Bogeymanand” director Atalay Taidiken and”andcirakand” (The Apprentice), by first-time director Emre Konuk and and”Pia,and” by Erdal Rahmi Hanay, are the three world premieres on the bill.
and”Kalandar Soiuiuand” (Cold of Kalandar), directed by Mustafa Kara, and and”Randuzgarin Hatiralariand” (Memories of the Wind), by andOzcan Alper, will be having their Turkish premieres in Antalya after debuting in overseas festivals.
and”Artik Hayallerim Varand” (Through My Lens), written and directed by Nefin Dinandc, is the sole documentary that has made it to the selection in the first Antalya competition of its kind since the festival committee decided to merge the national fiction and documentary competitions into one competition this year.
Other titles on the bill include and”Misafirand” (The Visitor), directed by Mehmet Eryilmaz, and”Sakliand” (Secret), by Selim Evci, and and”Sarmaiikand” (Ivy), by Tolga Karaandcelik, all of which have also premiered in various festivals overseas.
Films will be vying for awards in a total of 14 categories. The 52nd Antalya film festival will take place from Nov. 29-Dec. 6.
